A key priority for us is to keep you and your things safe and protected in your own home so here are our 5 easy tips:

#1 Keep your bank card and PIN number separate

Don’t write your PIN number down and keep it in your purse or wallet next to your card. Don’t share your bank card or pin details if anyone asks.

#2 Don’t keep large amounts of cash in your house

No matter how well tucked away it may be, it is best to keep cash in your home to a minimum.

#3 Check bank statements regularly

Check your statements monthly to ensure there is no unusual activity or transactions you don’t recognise. If you do find anything, no matter how small, then call your bank to double check.

#4 Put valuables away

Ensure that you put valuable or precious items away in drawers or elsewhere out of sight, ideally locked away.

#5 Change key safe codes regularly

We would suggest updating your code at least every 6 months.

Always remember, if you’re worried or concerned talk to someone straight away.
